The Art of Sara Hunter

We are really enjoying these beautiful and elegantly crafted pottery pieces by Sara Hunter. A local Virginia Beach watercolor artist who discovered pottery, she has a strong sense of design with a touch of whimsical fun. Each piece is made with white earthenware clay and then fired. Then Sara hand paints each design with lead free paints and glazes. After she has painted and glazed, the piece is put back into the kiln for a second firing. She takes so much pride in her work, that when you lift to see the bottom, you will find an elegant signature surrounded with more elements of design and love.
