This larger Star of David pendant has a more tradition hexagon shaped star. Not only a popular symbol in Judaism but Hinduism and Buddhism, the hexagon is composed of one triangle facing downward and the other moving upward symbolizes the divine union of both man and woman and the two together Creation. The usage of this star as Jewish identity began in the Middle ages, though it has been used even earlier.
