Sterling Silver Amethyst Oval Ring Size 6 1/2

Handmade ring from Nepal has an oval facet amethyst gemstone set in a sterling silver bezel setting with bead and rope work on the side. This ring is a size 6 1/2 and is 3/8 inch wide. Until the 18th century, amethyst was one of the most valuable gemstones along with diamond, sapphire, ruby and emerald, a cardinal gem. The Greeks believed amethyst gems could prevent intoxication. To clean: simply use a jewelry polishing cloth to brighten the silver when needed.
